The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

Accounts Payable -- Account Reconciliations, AP Aging, Payment Processing and 1099's

Accounts Receivable - Collections, Invoice Preparation, Tracking and Deposits

Report Generation -- Supporting Schedules, Reconciliations, Cash Reports and other reports as required

Credit Card Management -- Card Inventory, Statement Management, Collection of Supporting Documents, Pre-payments, and Dispute Charges as required

Other Duties as Assigned (including, but not limited to) - Special Projects, Journal Entries, Monthly Closing, Check Deposits, Wire Transfers and Administrative Duties.

Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years experience in Accounting or Finance
Bachelors Degree in Accounting (or related field)
Experience in the Sports Entertainment Industry a plus
Proficient in Quickbooks (required) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)

This is a full-time position, Monday -- Friday, hours TBD. Work schedules may vary including some weekend hours during the MLS season. Candidate must be punctual, reliable and demonstrate a strong work ethic. Professional attire required.

  • Performs a wide variety of special projects and data gathering functions as well as developing reports as necessary.
  • Prepares specialized reports, analysis and financial models; present results of analysis.
  • Reviews month-end financial reports, constructs financial statements, provides variance analysis, researches financial irregularities, and uses the analysis to develop meaningful financial reporting.
  • Coordinates and develops ad hoc analysis as required.
  • Provides support to other Finance Department staff, as required.
  • Cross-trains on Fixed Assets, Bank Reconciliations and other accounting functions.

  • Monthly Financial Statement preparation including multi-company consolidation.
  • Coordinate with Global Accounting for organized consolidation of Global Activity.

Reporting and Audit preparations

  • Responsible for distribution of monthly financial results to department management.
  • Responsible for quarterly and annual financial reporting including Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
  • Coordinates and participates in the Financial Compliance reporting for our Managed Care and other departments as necessary.
  • Plans and continuously prepares for external audits including the annual Financial Audit, Single Audit (A133) and specific Grant Audits, etc.

Management

  • Ability to effectively manage senior and staff accounting staff.
  • Leads and/or participates in the development and implementation of the financial policies and procedures for the Company.


Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Accounting from four-year college or university and ten to fifteen years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of seven to ten years Accounting Manager, Audit Manager or higher experience. California C.P.A license is preferred.


Computer/Software Skills Abilities

  • To perform this job successfully, and individual should have demonstrated high level skills in Microsoft Office software including Excel , Word, and Outlook. MAS90 or equivalent proficient.
