Character Animator Artist Position
WWS is seeking a Character Animator/Artist with meticulous modeling, texturing and animation skills and abilities to design and create high quality 3D characters (monsters, heroes, and other assorted animated creatures and objects) along with in-game art assets for an upcoming next generation kids MMO title with Original IP.

JOB DESCRIPTION
SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS
A 2-year 2D/3D art degree or equivalent, BFA is preferred.
Experience in 3D Character Design and Development
Experience animating in 3D Software, such as 3DSMax and Maya.
Excellent texturing and color management.
Skill in illustration and concept drawings.
Three or more years experience in game development modeling, skeletons, texturing, rigging and animating of characters.
Involved in production on at least 1 title that has been released.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines.
Able to effectively collaborate with game designers and programmers
Musical ability a plus.
Work experience on MMO and mobile apps is a plus
Must be self-motivated, take initiative and have a strong professional work ethic for a team environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with the creative director to develop characters start to finish, including concept art, modeling, developing skeletons, rigging and texturing and adding animations, based on the original IP and style.
Work with the Unity 3D game engine and the Maya or Max Modeling packages.
Develop animations for characters and other environmental props.
Proactive in creating solutions and solving problems.
Participate in peer reviews, giving and receiving team feedback.
Work with team members to implement character mechanics for gameplay
Perform QA, Profiling and performance tuning of Art and gameplay.
Support project Character and Art requirements as needed.
