Job Description

A Very Popular and Prestigious Entertainment Company is seeking a Financial Analyst for its International Home Entertainment Licensing Finance Team. The Financial Analyst is expected to have business knowledge of the licensing territories and inform finance management of risks and issues. This individual will partner with finance management to:

ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP,
ensure complete, accurate budgets and forecasts,
ensure meaningful financial analysis providing insight into business performance,
enhance process efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities:

Analyze licensing territory revenue gross profit by title (Actual vs. Budget, Forecast, Flash, and prior periods) and present drivers for the variances.
Provide timely and meaningful ad hoc reports and analyses to internal customers, primarily Home Entertainment Licensing Management and Finance Management.
Knowledge of Inventory and product cost accounting is desirable.
Review royalty statements submitted by international licensees for accuracy and compliance with contract terms and rates. Resolve discrepancies with licensees.
Process royalty statements timely, efficiently, and accurately.
Prepare account analysis, reconciliations, and journal entries.
Perform internal controls to ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
Participate in ad hoc finance activities including projects related to process improvements, standardization, and consistency.

Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience in SAP and JDE preferred

Required Experience

B.A or B.S in Finance, Economics, or Accounting required.
1-2 years of experience in finance/accounting preferred.
Good working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
