We are a nationwide consumer finance/leasing company based in West Los Angeles. We are seeking a motivated, talented and experienced individual to join our company in the position of Director of Sales Marketing.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director of Sales Marketing provides operational, business development and programmatic support to the company as a key member of the management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sales, marketing, client/customer relations, and customer service and new business development. The candidate will report directly to the COO and will work with senior management on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to marketing, business development and generation, and business analysis.
JOB DUTIES
Perform all tasks necessary to achieve the company's sales, marketing, new business, financial and customer service goals
Work on the strategic vision including fostering and cultivating new relationships
Manage, oversee and train the sales team and customer service department
Participate in developing new business by assisting the COO and senior management in identifying new funding opportunities, and determining cost effectiveness of prospective business opportunities
Ensure adequate controls are installed and that supporting documentation is approved and available so that all processes may pass independent audits
Ensure success of the leasing programs offered through cost analysis and compliance with all contractual requirements including: 1) interpreting legislative rules and regulations to ensure compliance with all federal and state guidelines, 2) ensuring all financial lending regulations and requirements are disseminated to appropriate personnel, and 3) monitoring compliance.
Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reports of marketing, sales and customer service activity including consumer leasing reports
Travel to meetings with clients as necessary
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Proven sales record in consumer finance and leasing or related industry
Knowledge of current trends, developments, and theories in consumer finance and leasing
Knowledge of laws, regulations, and rules governing consumer finance and leasing
Ability to review contracts/agreements
Ability to generate financial spreadsheets, writing/editing company's business plan
Previous experience in a sales and marketing or consumer environment with proven results
Ability to foster and cultivate business opportunities
Recognize and be responsive to the needs of all clients of the company
Supervise and train staff, including regular performance evaluations and coaching plans
Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational and written skills
Ability to communicate persuasively both orally and in writing, with other managers, staff, clients/partners and the public
Should be creative, highly motivated and decisive and possess strong leadership skills
General office software, particularly Microsoft Office
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education: Candidate will have completed a bachelor's degree or higher education at an accredited college or university in business administration, marketing or related field
Experience: Candidate will have held a previous position at the level of Director of Sales and Marketing or related position. Candidate will have 5-7 years business management, sales, marketing, and development experience preferably in the Powersports market or vehicle financing/leasing industry.
