One of the fastest growing Manufacturer/Distributors of audio and power accessories for mobile phones, tablets and MP3 players, consumer electronics and video game accessories, is looking for an experienced, full time Packaging Designer.
You will be responsible for the design and development of retail packaging for a wide variety of consumer electronic products, with occasional preparation of print ads and marketing materials. The designer must be able to execute all projects from concept to completion and the delivery of final production files.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to create packaging with a clean, minimalist modern design that reflects today's cutting edge consumer electronics.
Responsibilities:
- Conceptualization of packaging styles to match product with target market
- Creation of production-ready packaging die-lines, catalogs, marketing materials, and logos
- Construction of foam board, paper, and cardboard mock-up models
- Maintaining updated knowledge of our market sectors and packaging trends
- Review and improve existing product packaging
Education and Requirements:
Design degree
3+ years of focused design experience in packaging design a must
Basic photography and illustration skills for packaging are a necessity
Interest in Apple products, small consumer electronics and video games
Highly detail-oriented and organized
Deadline-driven with a strong sense of priority and good follow-through
Able to work well under tight deadlines and in a busy, fast-paced, quick-turn environment
Web design experience a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Exceptionally skilled with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
