Well-known LA based apparel manufacturer is looking for associate tech design and tech design level candidates for immediate openings.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Work closely with patternmakers and samplemakers on technical construction or fit issues and track fit progress for division
Participate in fit sessions, making appropriate recommendations for fit and construction issues
Participate in style and fit approval process with cross-functional partners to meet all deadlines and address issues for resolution with Technical Designers.
Communicate development and fit information to overseas vendors through written reports, sketches or pattern corrections
Assist in organizing and prioritizing workload to meet deadlines, partnering with Technical Designers as needed
Support Technical Design workload by creating fit schedules, maintaining track and measurement records
Adhere to established fit and construction standards by producing accurate specification packages including sketch details, base size specifications, grading, construction and packaging details

ASSOCIATE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS ARE:

Minimum 3 -- 4 years Assistant Technical Design experience
Degree in Apparel Design, Product Development or related field
Must possess a strong understanding of garment construction, fit standards patternmaking, grading and specification packages
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required

TECH DESIGN MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS ARE:

4-6 years prior technical design experience
Prior working knowledge of various garment constructions
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Excellent verbal and written communication ability
