Growing CPA firm and Mortgage Company in Los Angeles (90027) is looking for a part time (25 -- 40 hours per month) bookkeeper. Applicant must be eager to learn, have a positive attitude and the ability to work well with other team members in a high-technology oriented environment. Applicant must be proficient in QuickBooks and have experience in accounts payable, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, payroll and other accounting and administrative functions. Applicant must also be familiar with online banking, downloading of transactions and other automated features of QuickBooks.
Responsibilities:
-Enter cash receipts and disbursements
-Downloading of bank, credit card and payroll transactions
-Reconciliation of bank account and credit card accounts
-Accounts Payable
-Accounts Receivable
-Entering (downloading) of payroll transactions into QuickBooks
-Billing
-Paying Commissions
-Prepare monthly financial reports
-Projects and tasks as the need arises
-Ongoing office support
Qualifications:
-Accounting/bookkeeping education
-Excellent knowledge in QuickBooks is a must (QuickBooks ProAdvisors preferred)
-Proficiency with computers (excel, Microsoft word, outlook)
-Exceptional presentation and communication skills
-Exceptional work and personal ethics
-Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy; ownership and accountability for work
-Outstanding service in all management, vendor and client interactions
-Sensitivity to confidentiality and discretion in all personnel issues
-Ability to solve problems with creativity, flexibility, and sound judgment
