DESCRIPTION:
This is a PART-TIME position - approximately 20 hours per week
Under general supervision of the Public Information Officer, the Graphic Artist will be responsible for the creation of original designs and concepts for City publications, mailers and posters, including the production of the City's quarterly publication. Duties will include shooting and editing photos, creating layouts, managing all photo file storage; and other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and creative with the ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from high school or equivalent and college coursework in Graphic Arts required. Must be proficient in major desktop publishing programs, both for PC and Mac, especially Corel Draw and Pagemaker; as well as be familiar with the Adobe Design C25 suite and latest Adobe Photoshop. Photography skills are a plus. Experience with deadlines preferred.
