Mechanical Designer

Responsibilities:

1) Manual drafting to illustrate design ideas
2) 3D modeling and 2D drafting in Solidworks
3) Design sheet metal parts, frames, weldments and mechanical assemblies systems
4) Hands-on involvement in prototype validation testing, development and fabrication/integration
5) Communicate with machinists, welders, metal fabricators, assemblers and outside metal fabrication vendors

Qualifications:

1) 5 years of mechanical design and drafting experience mininum
2) Associate Degree in the field of mechanical design minimum
3) Strong background and seasoned hands-on work experience in conventional and CNC machining
4) Strong background and mechanical design experience in mechanical structures, systems and assemblies
5) Diverse mechanical design experience
6) Time management to achieve schedule targets within budgeted hours
7) GDT experience preferred
8) Experienced and innovative problem solver
9) Detail-oriented, strong work ethics and a get-it-done attitude
10) Good communication
