Fresh is looking for a part time/contract Web/UI designer to join our growing interactive studio in Santa Monica, CA. We are a small group of talented individuals who create effective and intelligent design technology solutions for a range of clients in the retail, real-estate, entertainment gaming, and education industries among others. The ideal candidate for this role is a recent college grad passionate about design interactive with some real world web-design experience under your belt. For this position, you must be available to work on site at our studio in Santa Monica, CA.
Responsibilities
Work with the creative director to develop early concept sketches and mood boards for new projects
Create your own design comps for clients
Support development team by providing graphic assets and production art
Contribute ideas and creative for new business pitches
Participate in group brainstorming and learning sessions
Desired Skills Experience
A strong sense of concept development, layout composition, color theory and typography as demonstrated by a portfolio
Ability to turn planning documents such as wireframes and sketches into effective page designs
Extensive experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
Understanding of how designs effectively translate to and function on the web/mobile
Ability to multi-task well on multiple projects and function and meet deadlines in a timely fashion
