I am looking for a person with great organizational skills and is use to working for a professional man who grew up in the corporate world. I am a small home based business and my company is involved in custom printing, labeling and barcoding. I do a lot work for the government and the military. We are under contract to the city of Los Angeles and work with the LAPD and the Department of Transportation. The person who I need MUST have a high proficient level of Quickbooks as all of our accounting, invoicing, back reconciliation and proposals are done in Qucikbooks. This is a must! Having a vague idea or of not used the program need not apply. Accounts receivables and accounts payable. You will also be handing the phones so you must have a good speaking voice and conduct my business in a professional manner, scheduling appointments, and you must be internet savvy as you will be sourcing for clients and looking for job opportunities for this company to work on. You must be well versed in Windows 7 and all Microsoft Office 2007+ software (i.e. Word, Excell, Outlook and Power Point). You must know proper office protocol even though we are a two person office at the moment. Organizational skills are a must. Also, I am tired of receiving emails from those who are not qualified, students looking for their first job, or people who have never worked in this type of environment. O ne other thing that is a very good tip for those who are searching for jobs, when a prospective employer takes the time read your resume and contacts you for an intial phone interview or to arrange a formal interview, YOU CALL THAT PERSON BACK! Over half the people who I have contacted have never returned a call. With 25,000,000 who are out of work looking for jobs and you don't call back someone who is interested in you, I can assure that you that you will continue to stay unemployed. If my calls or emails are not returned within a reasonable time or if you are a "no show" after I schedule you it will show me that you are no professional and your resume will be tossed into the circular file. This type of behavior is unbelievable and totally unacceptable. Flakey people need not apply. I also do not want to hear from those who do not posses this skill sets that I required. If your last job was greating people at Walmart do not apply for this position. Do you get an ide a where I am going with this? Prove me wrong Craig's List people. I know someone is out there that would be perfect fit.
This opportunity has growth and if you show me your interest in your work and want to learn further I have no problem in training you to learn how to sell, your earnings potential is limitless. We are not an e-commerce company we are strictly B2B. I am NOT looking for a telemarketer. I am NOT looking for someone who says "they are a fast learner" you must possess these skills, can compose a proper letter, have a professional phone voice that is clearly understood and proper business protocal. You must be able to coordinate this mess of an office.
If you have interest and you do possess these skills sets then I want to hear from you. The right person will come in and train for about 2-3 days to see if your are interested in the position and can see a young company that is growing at a very fast rate. You must be able to multi-task. I know this is a tough job market and while the position does not pay as much as you would like, but show me that you can produce and I will be very generous with my time and train you properly. Professionalism is key, appearance is casual as you would be working from my apartment and would also be responsible for running the occasional errand such as picking up my kids from school, go to a pharmacy, the bank, or the market, but nothing like walking my dog, having my car washed or picking up my dry cleaning or any demeaning task.
