Requirements
Familiarity with Excel, Quicken, Time Cards, Payroll Software, All Payroll Tax Returns, and Making
tax deposits and 401 (k) contributions online. Schooling or degree in accounting, business administration desired.
Accounts Payable - Reconciliation of merchant accounts, credit card statements and bank account statements, review employee expense reports to ensure proper documentation provided. Tracking expenses for each of the 3 offices and each of the attorneys separately. Cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed. Preparation of books for year end submission to outside CPA (includes an estimated Trial Balance before bonuses and another one after bonuses).
Payroll Specialist - Must have experience with California state work laws
Includes - new hire enrollments, maintenance of all employee files, separate locked files for I9 documents, human resources including Cobra, time and attendance system which is now on a time clock, entering checks into payroll software, printing and distributing payroll stubs, making direct deposits, paying taxes and 401 (k) contribution and garnishments, quarterly taxes, year end taxes including W2's, W3's, and1099's. Entering all information into Quicken.
