Job Description:

Machinima is seeking a Sr. Director of Franchise Management for an immediate opening. The hire will be responsible for creation, oversight and implementation of cross-functional initiatives to drive service offerings for game publishers represented within the Machinima network. This hire must be comfortable working with external partners to balance creative and business objectives, creating project plans to provide new business opportunities for the company and managing client expectations.

An ideal candidate will have 5+ years' experience in building and managing brands or programs, possess strong project management capabilities, solid business acumen and client services skills. Strong communication skills will be key to success in this role. A working knowledge of the gaming industry and popular game franchises is required. Knowledge of the YouTube platform is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Create and manage project plans that launch, build and sustain the franchise experience for the Machinima audience and partners across consumer touch points such as online video, social networks, editorial and consoles. Upon launch of franchise offerings within the Machinima network, be the primary representative for the franchise at Machinima.

Key examples/outputs of these plans include:

Building a communications pipeline for reporting metrics to internal stakeholders for business intelligence and external clients
Project planning in coordination with Operations order to launch a YouTube channel
Creation of a service response team to respond to external clients in a timely manner
Delivery of programming packages to Ad Sales, in coordination with Programming, Creative Services / Creative Solutions
Working with Product, building franchise fanbase requirements into the product development roadmap
Establishing fiscal controls for franchise management progams in coordination with Finance

The candidate will bring together and coordinate internal/external stakeholders including Ad Sales, Marketing, Programming, Affiliate Relations, Legal, Product, Finance, Creative Solutions Operations and Business Intelligence in order to effectively and thoroughly execute on game franchise opportunities. The hire will oversee the process of owning franchise fact sheets, calendars, sales reports and viewer analytics as it relates to his or her business domain.

Required skills qualifications:

4 year degree minimum (MBA or graduate degree preferred)
Franchise, brand or program management experience in the internet or consumer product space (online video preferred)
Proven track record of solving difficult client problems using negotiation skills
Must be an entrepreneurial self-starter with the ability to multi-task
Strong critical thinking/strategic thinking abilities
Strong creative sensibilities that support creative review of everything from franchise style guides to creative pitches/treatments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams
Ability to conceptualize and prioritize projects and adapt work plans amidst a dynamic entertainment company environment
