We are a $35M division of a private equity backed manufacturer, located near the 5 and 134 freeways in Los Angeles. We are looking to fill a newly created Staff Accountant position immediately. This position can be a significant growth opportunity for the right candidate.
Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Staff Accountant will be assigned to:
 Prepare and process weekly payroll with outside processor;
 Maintain related support schedules, including vacation balances, garnishments and benefits enrollment and contributions;
 Prepare and post assigned journal entries related to the monthly closing of the Company's books;
 Prepare weekly reports of cash activity used in the Company's Cash Flow Forecast;
 Prepare bank reconciliation's and account analysis as assigned;
 Assist in reviewing inventory transactions and analyzing cost of goods sold;
Additional duties will include:
 Assist in the Company's upcoming ERP implementation;
 Other duties as assigned.
Key qualifications are:
 Four-year degree with an emphasis in Accounting (required);
 Three to seven years prior professional experience, with at least two years in manufacturing or distribution.
 Work skills which include good attention to detail, analytic aptitude and an ability to complete work on time;
 Personal attributes which include honesty, flexibility and high degree of initiative.
