CAMERON | PACE Group is looking for a strong candidate to join its CAD department, who will work as part of a team in developing mechanical designs of specialized products.
Under general supervision, the successful candidate will perform routine to extensive drafting assignments and will be responsible for the CAD drafting of projects, which includes:
• Prepare and revise simple to complex engineering drawings from detailed sketches, markups, charts, tables, or verbal instructions utilizing manual drafting or CAD techniques, undertaking detailed design and creating working drawings
• Produce all aspects of mechanical design and drawings using 2D and 3D AutoCAD techniques
• Organizing and maintaining CAD files for each project
• Successfully carrying out drafting assignments on project design teams
• Facilitating and ensuring the quality of design, drawings, and accuracy
• Gathers and maintains specified records of engineering data and reference information
• Supports verification efforts as required
Minimum Qualifications:
• 5 years' experience at an intermediate drafting or design level, responsible for performing complex and semi-routine work activities with minimal instruction
• Extensive working knowledge of engineering and/or design/drafting concepts
• Must have design experience using Autodesk Inventor 2010 or later
• Must have experience with Autodesk Vault
• Ability to utilize basic PC and 2D CAD tools, and other applicable hardware and software to perform duties
• Good knowledge of design for manufacturing
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
