Seso is committed to designing and building technology that has a positive impact on the world. Our latest project for TED (http://ed.ted.com) allows educators to bring the inspiration and power of TED to classrooms across the globe. We're looking for an inspired technologist to lead the tech side of our business who shares our passion for making a difference in the world.

The Position
This is a career defining opportunity for the battle tested technologist to lead the architecture and development of our current and future projects. We will look to your track record of leadership to help develop the roadmap for our technology platforms and direct our growing team of developers. This multifaceted role will call upon your technical expertise, strategic vision, intellectual prowess and business savvy to steer our engineering efforts and product development.

The successful candidate will possess a wide variety of web design and development skills, product management experience, a passion for UX and simplicity, and the ability to effectively manage a distributed, cross-functional team. We primarily use Ruby on Rails (RoR is not a requirement but broad and deep web design and development expertise is), follow a loose TDD and Agile methodology and have a commitment to UX design and usability. You will work directly with the partners and our design team to build the next wave of revolutionary web products for our high profile clients.

Previous experience with Drupal, PHP, standards compliant HTML5, CSS3, Zend, CakePHP, SVN, GitHub, social networking and enterprise-level APIs will add to your candidacy as will the ability to lead by example, be very hands-on (design and coding), and possess an intellectual curiosity that drives innovation. Early start-up experience and product management knowledge is a plus as is flexibility and a portfolio of successes.
