Full-time Chief Engineer, this position will be on-site at a luxury high-rise homeowner association located in West Los Angles. The candidate is responsible for the oversight of the maintenance of the property and reports directly to the General Manager. This includes the interior as well as the exterior of the building. This is a unique position because it is primarily a hands-on job. Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions in electrical/mechanical systems is an essential role of the Chief Engineer along with the ability to supply recommendations for solutions. Responsibilities include maintaining all common area equipment including but not limited to HVAC, emergency generator, fire equipment, boilers, hot water heater, water circulation pumps and motors, plumbing and electrical, including performing work in homeowner units.
The Chief Engineer supervises all outside contractors and performs inspections in residential units during remodels and works in conjunction with the assistant engineer.
The Chief Engineer is expected to keep logs including inventory and PM schedules and other reporting as needed.
 5 years experience in supervisory roles as engineer facilities operations, and project management in High Rise Multi Residential Units or 15 years in high rise condominium operations
 Must comply with all governing documents of the association
 Must be able to multi-task
 Must speak and write English
 Must comply with all state, county, and government requirements
