Exceptional Children's Foundation (ECF), a nonprofit social service agency serving clients with developmental disabilities throughout LA County, is seeking an experienced part-time, Ceramics Art Instructor.
The Art Instructor will work one-on-one with adult students who have developmental disabilities, teaching a variety of ceramics techniques and helping them develop their own unique artwork for sale. Responsibilities also include ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our students, and helping to maintain an overall enjoyable studio for all participants. Knowledge and interest in contemporary art needed. Instructor will implement artistic, educational, and behavioral treatment plans monthly.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree and two years experience. Ability to throw clay and operate a computerized gas kiln and a smaller electric kiln. Knowledge of mold making techniques and contemporary art. Must provide portfolio of finished works. Valid California driver license and insurable driving record. Work Schedule: Tuesday through Thursday 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.
