A growing national maintenance company based in the San Fernando Valley is seeking a fulltime bookkeeper/ finance admin with QuickBooks experience. We are seeking a team centric, articulate individual with experience in the hands on, day-to-day operation of the accounting function. The successful candidate will assist leadership and help to ensure the bookkeeping, financial accounting and reporting is done in a timely, organized and accurate manner (in accordance with US GAAP Accounting Standards and accounting policies/ procedures of the company).
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
*Perform day-to-day general accounting (especially extensive A/P and A/R)
*Assist month/ quarter end close and financial statement preparation
*Provide analytical support in review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained
*Maintaining the general ledger, journal entries, accounts receivables, accounts payable and billing to accurately reflect the monthly activity
*Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the accounting systems and records, as well as strict compliance to all company policies, procedures and controls
*Assist in the preparation of books to support the annual tax return and annual financial statement audits
*Assist in the continuous support in ensuring efficiency and improvement in processes and team performance (as needed)
*Perform annual sales tax returns as well as monthly and quarterly tax filings
*Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations
*Maintenance of fixed asset records
*Also responsible for assisting with Business Insurance Policies, Corporate Records, Vendor Agreements, Leases, Promissory Notes, License Agreements, Special Projects, Policies and Procedures,
*Assist office team in answering phones and other genreal office admininstration functions, as well as acting as the first line of communication with 3rd parties in regards to the finance function
Position Qualifications
*BA/ AA in Accounting or Finance (preferred but not required)
*Strong QuickBooks experience essential
*Minimum 5 years experience
*Experience in full cycle accounting, month end close and reporting
*Knowledge of US GAAP reporting requirements, good understanding of accounting principles and their applications
*Previous public accounting experience would be a plus (but not required)
*Proficient in Excel and Word
*Must have excellent organizational and administrative skills.
*Must have experience in a deadline driven environments
*Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
