High-end custom cabinetry and furniture design business is looking for an assistant to join our team and support the lead designer through all aspects of the designing, building and installation process.
Ideal Candidate will have the following skills:
- Light carpentry skills
- Excellent communication skills and willing to listen/take notes
- Must have initiative to follow through with pending items, anticipating questions and creating solutions
- Meticulously organized, efficient and detail-oriented
- Able to work well independently without much supervision
- Practice discretion with confidential client and business information
- Knowledge of construction methods, cabinet building and custom residential interior design projects
- Experience as a woodworker/cabinet builder or interior designer a plus
- Must have car and valid drivers license
- Spanish language skills a plus
- Experience with Quickbooks a plus
- Sketchup or CAD experience a plus
Candidate will work one-on-one with designer project manager on all business/project management tasks. Duties will include hardware installation, job site management/supervision, running errands, and some office management.
