Hardware Design Engineer (Contractor)

Location: near Thousand Oaks, CA
Duration: 6+ months (must be able to start immediately)

Summary:

Constructs, maintains, and tests electrical systems and components.  Uses measuring and diagnostic tools to test and modify electronic parts.  Ensures systems and components meet established specifications.  Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.  Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Be responsible for developing new hardware designs, including system design, board schematics, and layout.  Experience with a background in board-level digital/analog circuit design of image processing systems (CMOS/CCD image systems), programmable logic, board bring-up, troubleshooting and developing firmware.

Requirements:
• 3+ years of experience in developing new hardware designs, including system desig n, board schematics, and layout.
• BS or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree
