I. PURPOSE OF POSITION

To assist the Design Department in executing the line sheets, track samples and wash. Track trim and keep records of all products throughout the design process.

II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Computer flat sketching
Write detail sheets
Order Fabric
Write P/O's
Prepare initial show samples
Track fabric / trim orders

III. POSITION DIMENSIONS

Scope, Complexity and Autonomy
Follows direction of the Design management

Decision-Making Authority and Judgment
No decision making authority. Implements decision by the Creative Director and Design team.

IV. POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Education and Certifications
Degree in Fashion Design or Apparel Manufacturing required

Experience and Skills
Minimum of 1 year experience as a design assistant.
