A growing manufacturer specializing in custom industrial process equipment solutions needs an assistant for our accounting department with experience in good accounting and business management practices. We offer a high energy environment working with full benefits and 401k plan, and opportunity for advancement. We are located in Chatsworth, CA in the San Fernando Valley, about 30 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles.

Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be involved in the day-to-day activities of the company with responsibilities to include the following:
Recording transactions, journal entries and updating the general ledger
Reconciling all accounts including inventory
Responsible for the month-end close and preparation of all financial reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Maintain all financial files, documents, and databases
Prepare financial outlooks and financial forecasts
Prepare various periodic reports for management
Requirements

High School Diploma as a minimum
At least 3 years accounting experience
A MUST - knowledge in QuickBooks Enterprise (Manufacturing Wholesale 10.0)
Proficient in Microsoft office 2007, and preparing spreadsheets
Team player with strong personal skills
Must have good oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with all employees
Highly detailed oriented and organized, responsive and have good follow-through skills
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, team oriented entrepreneurial environment
Ability to handle other office tasks such as assisting purchasing and inventory controls
