Growing aerospace manufacturing company headquartered in Simi Valley, CA is seeking an entrepreneurial and hands-on Controller to oversee all of the company's financial operations including the following:

Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements;
Preparation of detailed annual budgets and standard costs;
Preparation of monthly variance analysis against budgets;
Creation and maintenance of insightful financial analyses for management review and decision-making, in part, related to:
o Standard cost variance analysis;
o Cost accounting and detailed gross margin review by job
o Sales trends by customers, aircraft platforms and market segments
o Manufacturing efficiencies
o Other financial and manufacturing-oriented reporting as directed by management;
o Inventory testing and review;
o Supervision of day-to-day activities of the factory accounting function.
Managing and leading a transaction-focused accounting staff handling payables, receivables, collections, journal entries;
Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial summaries for banking and private equity partners

Must have solid financial statement and cost accounting background and be extremely comfortable working with MRP systems to improve overall operating efficiency. Working knowledge of LEAN manufacturing is a plus.

The candidate will have the following:

1. CPA and/or MBA;
2. Solid experience in manufacturing accounting corporate finance;
3. Experience with a small company (between 75 - 100 employees);
4. Mergers Acquisitions;
5. Excellent Excel skills including pivot tables, graphs and data analysis;
6. Stable work record.
