We are currently looking for a bright, high-energy Financial Analyst to make a significant contribution to the financial and operational improvement of our organization. Key functions of this role include compiling, analyzing and interpreting financial data to support business strategy; providing cross-functional department support for budgeting and forecasting; and acting as the primary administrator for payroll and accounts payable / receivable for the organization. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring adherence to sound financial practices and providing insightful analysis and actionable recommendations related to cost efficiencies and process improvement.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Processes invoices, check requests, expense reports, client payments and other tasks related to maintaining the accounts payable and receivable.
Complies and keeps financial records related to classifying, recording, and summarizing data and making computations.
Examines and analyzes accounting records for purposes of preparing statements and reports.
Makes computations for and prepares payroll.
Audits and analyzes records of operations, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenues, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred.
Plays a key role in the maintenance of budgeting systems that provide control of expenditures.
Assists with business forecasting.
Prepares month-end journal entries and management level financial reports.
Prepares and distributes 1099s; assists with the preparation of other tax compliance items such as unnamed property remittance and business tax filings.
May be a key contributor in administering and maintaining escrow transactions in the near future.

REQUIREMENTS
Equivalent of Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance
2-4 years' experience working in accounting or finance, preferably in-house at a mid to large size company
Familiar with financial concepts, practices and procedures within the financial field
Experience using financial software, particularly Microsoft Dynamics GP
Excellent PC, Web and Microsoft Excel skills
