We are looking for an energetic, creative, and enthusiastic District Retail Store Manager to join the team in the Los Angeles Area! The District Manager is fiscally responsible for inventory plan, gross margin, sales plan, overall merchandising and staff management. Directs and motivates the sales team in 2+ retail loations to ensure we provide the highest level of customer service to each and every person entering our stores. Communicates business strategy and action plans to all staff to ensure maximum productivity and compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
1. Employees will contribute to and consistently apply the Comapny's policies and procedures by effectively working with all Equinox personnel without to regard to race, religion, age, national origin, gender, physical or mental disability.

2. Talent Management:
a. Recruit, Interview and Hire Sales Associates that have high levels of passion, enthusiasm, energy and integrity.
b. Ensure Sales Associates achieve sales goals and are given daily feedback on selling skills and performance to goal.
c. Work one to one with new Sales Associates to ensure proper training on service, operational and visual standards. New hires are properly onboarded.
d. Ensures proper scheduling is in effect for all store locations and store Associates are in proper dress code at all times.
e. Maintains appropriate staffing levels through succession planning and actively recruits to fill open positions.
f. Develops people by providing effective orientation and training, appropriate tools, coaching and feedback. Clearly communicates expectations on a regular basis.
g. Understands, communicates and enforces organizational policies, procedures and other pertinent information.
h. Effectively deals with performance issues, corrects inappropriate behavior/poor performance through counseling and invests time in ensuring expectations/standards are understood.
i. Audits performance and inspects expectations regularly to ensure all employees are meeting personal and Company standards.
j. Makes self accessible/available to employees seeking guidance and/or instruction.


3. Operational Excellence:
a. Reviews weekly/monthly reporting to ensure policies and procedures and/or company goals are being met.
b. Understands job needs and requirements and demonstrates understanding of systems and processes.
c. Is results oriented and sets aggressive goals; utilizes all resources available to reach solutions.
d. Anticipates the needs of a project and takes action to quickly correct or prevent a problem.
e. Has the ability to multi-task, exhibits time management skills and spends the appropriate time in Shops, driving the business.
f. Takes initiative to bring forward new and innovative concepts that add value to the department/organization.
g. Applies personal, consistent standards of excellence to all aspects of business, including office, stockroom and merchandise organization.
h. Accurate and thorough completion of work. Output is consistent with demands of department/organization.
i. Has a command of the technical/functional skills needed to perform the job.
j. Maintain monthly administrative supply expense at or below budget.
k. Manages Shop payroll according to budget and partners with Senior National retail Manager on any exceptions.
l. Follows up timely to ensure questions are answered, tasks are completed and expectations are met.
m. Oversees all Inventory counts and ensures proper training for inventory in all locations.
n. Ensures all Corporate communication and directives have been read, understood and executed in all Shop locations as directed within appropriate time frames.

4. Product and Presentation:
a. Ensures all merchandise is processed within 24 hours of delivery, represented on the sales floor and follows all Company Visual Merchandising directives to maximize Shop presentation.
b. Enforces and maintains excellent housekeeping and organizational standards in Shops and stockrooms,
c. Ensures shipments are received properly and variances are communicated and/or reconciled timely.
d. Makes Brand-appropriate decisions when adapting directives due to differing inventory, store design, etc.
e. Ensures all operational procedures relating to product are performed accurately and timely (i.e. transfers, markdowns, promotions, etc.)
f. Understands and reacts to information/customer issues to optimize opportunities without compromising profitability
g. Ensure windows always contain current in stock merchandise and are updated on a regular basis.
h. Ensure all marketing materials are being utilized appropriately.

5. Professional Dimension:
a. Builds effective relationships and partnerships with employees, colleagues, supervisors and clients. Maintain knowledge of all club services, programs and products.
b. Partner with GM and Senior National Retail Manager to hire top talent.
c. Involve Senior National Retail Manager and GM when appropriate in all loss prevention, personnel or operational issues as they pertain to the overall operation of the Shop and/or club.
d. Maintains all Company policies and procedures, embraces and supports Company initiatives.
e. Differentiates self from staff and presents self in an effective and professional manner, consistent with the Brand, at all times.
f. Remains flexible and open to alternatives; willingly accepts new or additional responsibilities.
g. Takes ownership/responsibility for sub-standard performance and/or results and acts immediately to correct.
h. Treats others with respect and dignity and handles situations in a calm and objective manner.
i. Verbally communicates at all levels and with tact and diplomacy.
j. Communicates ideas and information clearly and concisely in writing (i.e. memos, e-mails, corrective action, etc.)
k. Listens attentively to others to ensure that the intended message has been received and understood.

The successful candidate must have the following experience, skills, and education:

1. Proven ability to hire, direct and train staff.
2. Proven leadership ability.
3. Exceptional customer service and sales generation skills.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Possess honesty and personal integrity.
6. Computer literate and knowledge or retail spreadsheets.
7. Strong problem solving and analytical skills
8. Strong attention to detail.
9. Able to work productively in a fast paced team environment
10. Enthusiastic, energetic, personable, hardworking, flexible and diligent.
11. Excellent time management, organizational, problem solving and follow-up skills.
