Media Planner/Buyer

Our continuously growing team is looking for a passionate individual to join WebMetro as the Digital Media Planner and Buyer. This position will report directly to the Media Director.

We are seeking a Digital Media Buyer and Planner to join our growing team. As the Media Buyer and Planner, you will be responsible for the strategic development, execution, optimization and growth of assigned direct response campaigns. The Media Buyer/Planner will be the primary point of contact for vendors, clients and WebMetro's assigned account team. Candidates should be experienced in digital media and well-versed in the technology and strategies behind media buying. Position in located in our West LA office.

Key Responsibilities:

Support Media Director in all aspects of digital campaign development, recommendations, presentations, execution and reporting
Mentor Assistant Media Planner and Buyer in development of analytical, negotiation, planning, buying and optimization skills
Be expert in day-to-day campaign performance and maintain in-depth understanding of client's overall business and marketing objectives, constantly analyzing campaign performance for optimization opportunities
Coordinate with Media Director and Media Supervisor to develop strong media strategy
Perform Industry Competitive research to identify media placement opportunities and request proposals to align with agreed upon strategy
Maintain list of client deliverables and status items for review on weekly calls
Develop media plan and issue for approval to Media Supervisor
Maintain vendor relationships as part of negotiating and optimizing campaigns
Oversee accuracy of Insertion Orders and Traffic Requests
Approve campaign setup and accuracy of campaign assets before launch
Oversee and closely monitor media budget for assigned accounts
Ensure that campaigns are meeting or exceeding client CPA goals and implement optimization recommendations as needed
Collaborate closely with Media Buying counterparts to maximize campaign profitability and evaluate new opportunities
Coordinate Annual and Quarterly reporting agendas and delegate as necessary for completion
Assist in development of new business pitches
Report any client concerns or campaign challenges to senior team members to identify solutions and ensure proper client follow up
Review Invoicing Totals for Accuracy and coordinate Resolution of any Invoice Discrepancies

Requirements:

Strong analytical and mathematical skills
Thorough understanding of direct marketing and media planning
Ability to represent the Agency at client meetings and on conference calls
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficiency with media research tools
Passionate with a curiosity for uncovering shifts in performance
Excellent computer skills with experience in Excel
Technically savvy with a general proficiency with internet technologies
Strong communication skills and likelihood to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment
Ability to adapt and maintain a positive and professional attitude under pressure
Organized with ability to follow through on issues and pay close attention to detail
2-5 years of digital media working experience

Preferred:
Working knowledge of HTML
Prior experience with Doubleclick DART for Advertisers
Bachelor's Degree Preferred
