Compliance Specialist - On Site
Description:
Well established property management company looking to hire an experienced compliance specialist to work onsite at an apartment community of 196 units.
The compliance specialist is responsible for the detail review of initial resident files perform annual recertifications to determine the compliance with the applicable affordable housing program. The compliance specialist communicates those results to the onsite property staff, and corporate compliance staff and is responsible for multiple reports.
The successful candidate will fully understand the applicable tax credit program rules, restrictions, guidelines and understandings of enforcement.
Compensation is $15.00 / hour to start, DOE/DOQ. Benefits are offered after the successful completion of a standard probationary period.
All candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Qualifications
Responsibilities and qualifications include:
* Minimum 1 year experience performing related duties in the affordable housing sector.
* Ability to work in a team environment.
* Ability to maintain productive relationships with coworkers, residents, and representatives of regulatory agencies.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Strong computer skills are required. Must have above-average proficiency in Word and Excel.
* Must be detail oriented, and able to work in a sometimes hectic environment, maintaining productivity and accuracy.
* Must have prior experience that can be verified.
* Must be able and willing to travel to the corporate office in Rancho Cucamonga for training
Education
Education and training:
* High school diploma or equivalent is required. Some college coursework is preferred.
* Fair Housing training
* Section 42 compliance training and/or experience is a plus.
