Inventory Cost Accountant

We have an immediate opening for an Inventory Cost Accountant t with 2-4 years of experience. Must be a self starter with an excellent personality. Must have working knowledge using Dynamics GP (Great Plains).

Responsibilities:

Handle all accounting functions for inventory management and reporting
Monitor transactions from vendor purchase order through customer invoicing
Ensure all inventory costs are accurately maintained and used in costing
Manage physical inventory counts and cycle count schedules
Perform monthly inventory variance reconciliations
Document desktop procedures for all routine functions

Qualifications:

Must have experience using Great Plains software.
Experience using Microsoft CRM software a plus.
Good organizational and analytical skills are necessary.
Thorough follow-up with customers, team members and entire company.
Must be able to prioritize and carry out duties with minimal supervision and handle proprietary information in a confidential manner.
Must have a high attention to detail, be a self-starter, capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in MS Office, Word, Excel.
Ability to work in a team environment.

Education:
Educational background in accounting plus 2-4 years of inventory and/or cost accounting.
Good understanding and applications of GAAP standards.
