The Opportunity
The East Coast Director of Finance is a member of the Senior East Coast Management team and is responsible for all day-to-day financial functions for the East Coast Restaurants. All East Coast Controllers will report to the East Coast Director of Finance. Duties include but are not limited to:
Prepares reports, which summarize and forecast East Coast business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations and presents to the CFO, President COO and Vice Presidents.
Establishes, or recommends to Senior Management, major economic objectives and policies for the East Coast.
Establishes, fine-tunes, and maintains all accounting and financial policies that have been established for the organization.
Manages East Coast controllers who handle the units, A/P, A/R, cash reconciliations, processing and analysis.
Menu item cost review with Executive Chefs for efficiency improvements in butcher yields, waste, menu adjustments for vendor price increases and potential unit level price increases.
Prepares all proforma and feasibility studies for RFP's for new accounts and contract extensions.

The Requirements:
Master's degree (M.A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management and public groups.
