Fund Accountant Responsibilities and requirements
The Fund Accountant will assist the Head of Fund Accounting Administration in performing daily reconciliation of futures and fixed-income transactions to the brokers/custodian statements. Using a combination of commercial portfolio management software, proprietary software, and Microsoft Office applications, the Fund Accountant will produce accounting performance reports on a daily/monthly/quarterly schedule. In addition, the Fund Accountant must produce ad hoc reporting as requested by department managers, portfolio managers and/or clients. Must be highly organized and resourceful and have strong analytical skills. Must be able to detect data errors and work with traders, brokers, and service providers to resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Requirements:
o Advanced Knowledge of Excel
o Strong knowledge of investment accounting. Must have an accounting degree and 3+ years experience in the field.
o Experience in calculating management fees / N.A.V.
o Ability to multitask and work on several projects at a time
o Experience dealing with performance-based and/or incentive fee structures is beneficial.
- Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000
