Sales /Operations Manager in Los Angeles
The Event Team is a large Southern California Destination Management Company, looking to expand our brand and presence in Los Angeles. We are looking for a Sales Operations Manager who can handle all aspects of Corporate Events from the initial point of client contact all the way through the execution of the program.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Establishing relationships with prospective clients. Promoting and selling our event services to major corporations, associations and incentive travel companies.
Reaching out to regional hotel properties to establish partnerships and secure business referrals.
Research and create client proposals. (Candidate will be responsible for generating leads, but will also receive leads from our national affiliate.)
Establish and maintain a commissionable Sales Target.
Plan Execute Site Inspections for prospective clients.
Plan Execute All Moving Parts/Logistics of contracted events. This includes booking venues, hiring staff, arranging transportation, etc.
Attend and/or Organize industry events tradeshows.
Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Hospitality, Travel, Tourism or related area.
Extensive (5+ years) related experience
Strong Sales and/or Operations Background in Meetings Events, Travel Tourism, and/or similar field.
Excellent Microsoft Office Suite Skills.
Ideal candidate will be creative, organized and personable.
