A consumer entertainment products company, is searching for a Sales Analyst (Category Analyst) to join our team!
Entry level to mid-level position and training provided.
POSITION SUMMARY:
As a key member of the team, you will provide syndicated data interpretations, insights and reporting.
Convert key performance indicators into a format that enables the organization to clearly understand current category dynamics.
Assist in making customer-level tactical business decisions.
Translate analysis into action-oriented reports and presentations.
Create and manage Sales Forecasts and POS Ladders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary contact for weekly reporting of sales results.
Actively contribute to buyers' decision making, by becoming a recognized, trusted, objective and responsive expert in all merchandising goals and parameters.
Ensure the accurate consolidation and reporting of information into requested actionable format and investigate any data discrepancies
Work closely with sales team in developing Spring and Fall business plans and planogram sets.
Manage Target's Joint Business Planning and CPFR processes
Utilize POS data in working with sales managers to analyze business trends and to devise plans of attack to meet changing requirements by product category and item.
Complete understanding of how Target's replenishment system operates and using that information in conjunction with what is happening at POS to develop a sales plan by item.
In-depth knowledge of all customer merchandising goals and parameters (i.e. presentation minimum requirements, instocks, margin and markdowns, etc.).
Ability to apply those goals and parameters in account analysis, recommendations and decisions
Gather data from internal and external sources, analyze data, develop, monitor and standardize account scorecard reporting, and disseminate analyses through out organization.
Develop fact based selling presentations through detailed analysis of syndicated data
Responsible for the development and maintenance of a performance evaluation system, including planogram space to sales performance, sales goals, market share objectives, productivity performance objectives.
Travel: approximately 5%
EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Qualified candidates will possess 4-year college degree (or equivalent work experience)
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED/PREFERRED
Basic knowledge of marketing/sales, financial and sales/market analysis including syndicated data and consumer promotion preferred.
Exceptional analytical abilities
Power user in Excel and Power Point (possible testing)
Strong Skills in database management
Confidence in conclusions from analysis; ability to persuade others of accuracy
