Our fast-paced Art Department located at the company's Carson headquarters is seeking freelance 2D Flash developers to work onsite as we create innovative interactive Flash/Flex based games for MAC/PC and interactive whiteboards. In addition to possessing a solid understanding of composition, file/asset management, and overall performance optimization, ideal candidates must be able to take direction and transform illustrations and designs into effective visual solutions--both on time and within budget.

We're looking for motivated self-starters who possess a high degree of personal accountability, a clear sense of ownership, and the ability to adapt to change quickly in a deadline-driven environment. Qualifications:

Ability to build technically sound and well organized files quickly and according to established guidelines
Solid understanding of software development processes
Ability to migrate design ideas into Flash pieces with encoded media
Translate designs accurately into Flash from various applications
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in order to meet simultaneous demands
Excellent project management and communication skills plus the confidence to ask questions
Exceptional attention to detail, creativity, and problem solving skills
Able to work independently as well as a team player with both technical and non-technical peers
Flexibility in schedule in order to meet hard deadlines

Requirements:

3-5 years work experience as a Flash Developer
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite with emphasis utilizing Adobe Flash CS5*
*Mandatory skills: proficient with Flash, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop testing applies
Knowledge of Flash animation techniques using both timeline and programming motion
Understanding of various Actionscript 3 programming techniques including (but not limited to) instance names, linkage class, frame labels, and symbol nesting.
Good understanding of Design
Bonus Skills/Experience:

Actionscript 3 experience, including basic understanding of OOP
Interface design experience
Prior Flash Game Development and Flex experience
Experience working with audio, FLV video, or similar external media
Education/toy/child entertainment industry experience
