GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This key position in the San Diego Creative Services team at Infantino is responsible for creating conceptual and inspirational design concepts, targeted to consumer needs. The Graphic Designer will support the marketing, product development and sales teams with designed collateral needs and will report directly to the Creative Director. The ideal candidate is a versatile graphic designer/ production artist who enjoys working in a fast paced environment and has experience in the production of and execution of consumer goods packaging design.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Collaborate with cross-functional team to determine project needs and produce visual solutions on brand strategy and within time/budgetary constraints.
Work on existing packaging design and develops new packaging options based on new product needs for our brand and any other sub-brands, through full execution.
Work with internal and outside resources for structural design, graphics, layout, copy and translations.
Create conceptual and inspirational design concepts based on best visual (and structural) design options to design creative aesthetic materials that are targeted to our consumers' needs and wants while staying on brand.
Support marketing, product development and sales teams with designed collateral needs and adhere to establish brand guidelines for all outgoing materials.
Help to manage creation and sign-off of all PMA/FMA and design intents.
Responsible for all specifications for print indicating requirements for size, color, layout, dimensions, materials and other features. Collaborate and review proofs with team to ensure all specifications are met including content for manuals, sales and packaging.
Collaborate with cross-functional team to develop manual and product label needs, schedule and visual solutions that are on strategy and comply with company standards.
Work in a team environment contributing ideas, problem solving, inspiration, opinions, support, and solutions.
Perform general office duties as needed.
Attend/work photo-shoots, video shoots and/or trade shows as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
BFA/BA/BS in Graphic Design
Must have 3-5+ years of professional experience working with a small team or in consumer goods packaging design.
Proficiency in Adobe, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat MAC based.
Strong eye for design that appeals to mass-market consumer and ability to work with others on developing retail strategies across multiple outlets. Must have packaging lay-out experience.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and to adapt to changing priorities with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication and organizational skills with an eye for detail.
Willing to work with feedback from others and try new ideas developed collectively.
Proactive self-starter that can maintain an upbeat positive attitude and passion for your work.
Must be able to work as a team player with a large group, as well as individually.
Must be able to take a project from concept through to completion.
Pre-press and production experience a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION REQUIRMENTS:
The Graphic Designer will have a BFA/BA/BS in Graphic Design and a minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience working with a small team or in consumer goods packaging design, ideally in the juvenile/toy industry.
