JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Engineer.

COMPANY PROFILE:

Southern California based aerospace manufacturer and distributor of replacement parts for the Rolls Royce 501D/T56 engine and Hamilton Sundstrand 54H60 series propeller both used on the Lockheed C130 and P3 aircraft. We are a major supplier to the U.S. Military, MRO facilities and both commercial and military customers around the world.

EDUCATION: MUST HAVE A DEGREE AS AN ENGINEER.

DUTIES:
Design of production tooling and fixtures needed to support CNC lathe and mill machining operations.
Must be able to work in a team environment by interfacing with purchasing, machine operators and quality department to improve productivity, work quality and cost management.
Ability to work with final part drawings to plan and develop manufacturing process sheets.
Ability to read and interpret aerospace and military specifications relating to heat treating, coatings, gear cutting, and various types of metals.
Evaluate scrap, rework efficiency and other manufacturing metrics to ensure ongoing continuous improvement.
The ability to work in a fast paced environment with a "make it happen" attitude.
Improving overall processes and related issues.
Responsible for following QC procedures.
Responsible for ensuring proper tools are used and ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
Responsible for keeping all operation sheets are updated and correct.
FAA/PMA experience a plus.

EXPERIENCE:

Proficient in Lean Manufacturing principles and Kaizen Tools.
3+ years' work experience in manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling and ERP system.
Proactive, problem solver with ability to provide alternative solutions.

HOURS: 40/week.
