Our brokerage firm is looking for a financial intern who want to acquire practical work experience relevant to their chosen field by working on key projects and processes, while adding value to the firm. This is a paid internship, and is a great opportunity to work behind the scenes in the finance industry. Intern must be graduating or going into their senior year in accounting, business, finance, or economics. If internship is successful, the intern will receive an offer for regular employment.
This internship will provide a meaningful work experience, supervision, and some networking activities. As an intern, you can expect a project in your field of study that is both challenging and rewarding, and to work on projects under the management of the Compliance and Audit department, who will coach, aid and assist you in your transition into the corporate environment.
The ideal candidate for this internship must possess:
- Graduating or going into senior year in accounting, business, finance, or economics major OR Less than 2 years of general securities experience
- Ability to manage, negotiate, and identify problem situations
- Ability to make decisions and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
- Must be an independent, self-starter
- Outstanding interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Strong detail orientation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and in researching information on Internet
- Current legal authorization to work in the United States
- Employment is dependent upon successful completion of an FBI background investigation
Work Hours to be determined, after intern has been selected, based on their availability and the following criteria:
*Part time only, between 25 to 30 hours per week
*Working minimum 4-hour-shifts, between the hours of 5:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday (shifts can differ each day of the week, based on availability)
Salary: Commensurate on Experience
