Financial Analyst (Los Angeles, CA )

Position Purpose:

This position provides accounting support to Chief Financial Officer including financial analysis, monitoring cash flow and reporting financial position. Provide assistance in the maintenance of the general ledger.

Principal Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for performing analytical and operation support duties within the Accounting Department.
2. Assists the Chief Financial Officer as directed
3. Analyzes financial statements and other related documents.
4. Completes cost analysis, profitability, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, reconciliation and other related analysis tools and procedures.
5. Prepares short and long term financial planning, reports key performance indicators and cost/benefit information.
6. Creates, manages and provides various monthly, quarterly and annual reports to management.
7. Assists the Accounting Officer in monitoring budgets.
8. Assists in the maintenance of the general ledger by using principals of double entry accrual accounting.
9. Performs duties such as answer the phone, filing, light typing as well as data entry.
10. Makes periodic errands to various sites.
11. Assists in Inventory.
12. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1. BS/BA degree with accounting or related fields is required.
2. Experience in computer hardware/software for accounting purposes.
3. Knowledge of MIP accounting software is a plus.
4. One year's accounting clerical experience.
5. Strong communication skills.
6. Must have a valid California Driver License.
7. Ability to travel from site to site.
