Certified Appraiser Network, a well established Real Estate Appraisal firm, has a part time General Office/Administrative position open in its Torrance based office. We have been providing services to major bank institutions in Southern California for over 20 years. We currently have 12 appraisers, are in a growth stage and are once again looking for general office/administrative assistants who can be a part of our growth. We prefer candidates to have at least 5 years experience in a detailed oriented office environment within mortgage lending, real estate appraisal, banking, escrow or other industries closely related to some facet of real estate. However, if you have a very good retention, an eye for detail, are multi-tasked and have the ability to work well under deadlines, we may consider those outside of real estate and/or lending industries. Must have the ability to work well supervised or unsupervised, good written and verbal communication skills, and a stro ng customer service orientation.
Approximately 24-28 hours per 4-day work week to start, which will likely be increased at a future date depending on workload of the company. This position offers growth potential for someone to move from administrative, to appraisal proofing and reviewing and then possibly field appraisals. To begin with, you will be involved in all phases of the appraisal business; Laison between our bank clients and appraisers, coordinating work assignments to appraisers, tracking status of all appraisal jobs, assisting in market data search, appraisal review, in-house sales calls to help generate new clients, helping recruit new appraisers, ordering supplies, paying vendors and in-house phone sales. Pay will be based on an hourly amount with potential for bonuses and residual commission based on effectiveness of in-house sales calls to the mortgage lending industry.
