Internship for Contemporary Art Gallery at Bergamot Station, Santa Monica.
Bergamot Station is the center for contemporary art in LA, and this is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the art world first hand. Also, a rare opportunity to work for an art gallery that is also a non-profit artists' cooperative. Learn the inner workings of the gallery world in Los Angeles' premiere contemporary art location, and help a non-profit grow into a profitable enterprise. Participate in the revamping of a gallery. Available internship days are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Duties Include:
-Inputting inventory
-Inputting clients, managing client list
-Managing press lists
-Writing press releases
-Contacting clients and press
-Helping manage member issues
-Marketing and social media
-Helping with organization and administration
-Answering phones
-Sitting in the gallery helping clients and gallery members

Necessary Skills
-Computer fluent: Mac PC
-Solid grasp of English grammar and spelling
-Knowledge of email etiquette, phone etiquette and letter formatting
-Comfortable with Google Apps (gmail, google docs, calendar)
-Comfortable with spreadsheets (excel)
-Comfortable with Photoshop or Design Software
-Presentable appearance, comfortable interacting with clients
-Responsible, punctual
