ART DIRECTOR

ART DIRECTOR

Full service, integrated Asian American ad agency is seeking a talented full-time Art Director to join our creative-driven environment.
The Art Director will be reporting to the Creative Director and collaborating with the Creative Team.
The Art Director will also serve as the liaison between the client and all departments at the agency.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Work with Creative team to design and develop Chinese print advertisements.
- Responsible for all aspects of print advertising, collateral material and typography.
-Communicate closely with production companies and recording studios to ensure Chinese TV and radio advertisements are produced accurately.
-Assists Creative Director in managing the process of creating high quality, creative advertising materials.
- Formulates concepts and executes layout designs for artwork and copy to be presented by visual communications media such as magazines, books, newspapers, television, posters and packaging.
-Maintain Consistency of brand look and messaging throughout all communications.

SPECIFIC SKILLS:

Qualified candidates should possess:
-Must be fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and English, Cantonese is a plus.
-Minimum proficiency in 2-D design software such as Adobe CS3 - Photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign.
-Bachelor's degree in graphic design, new media, or related field.
-At least 2 years design experience; expertise in automobile industry is a plus.
-Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills are necessary.
-Strong leadership with good business judgment in task prioritization.
-Ability to design within the scope of our brand esthetic and specifications.
-Ability to take the lead on projects as well as work independently, but also accept art direction.
-Ability to work on deadlines in a rapidly paced environment.
-Ability to work independently and work as part of a team.
-Must be organized with good attention to detail.
-Strong task and time management skills.
-Willingness to travel occasionally.
