Bristol Restoration, a construction services contractor for banks and property management firms, has an immediate opening for a experienced in-field Estimator and Project Manager to handle our commercial accounts in the LA basin. This is a full time position. You will be doing on-site inspections, providing estimates, and managing small to large job orders, capital improvements, and emergency services for large apartment complexes, commercial, and industrial building complexes that our bank and asset management clients own and operate. We are slated to increase our commercial sector by over $15 million over the next 18-24 months. We are a small company with 30 employees, but we are growing.
JOB DUTIES
You will work closely with our Business Development and Field Operation Managers to best serve the needs of our clients.
Personally, and with sub contractors, "job walk" and inspect all requests for bids and proposals.
Accurately determine the scope of repair, rehab or capital improvement.
Write detailed procedures for repair, and improvements.
Assist in the preparation of bids/proposals.
Manage capital improvement projects to ensure strict time schedules and job completions.
Work closely with employees and sub-contractors to ensure job completions and profitability.
Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on awarded vs. bid, job schedules, cost analysis, and profitability.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
4-year degree in Construction Project Management
2-5 years minimum experience in an increasing responsibility position as a project manager/scope writer or capital improvement estimator, or;
5-7 years as a project manager with projects ranging from $1 mil-$5 mil in a rehab or restoration environment.
Familiar with ADA requirements.
Proven experience and functionality with any mainstream job costing or estimating software.
Proven proficiency with project management software; Meridian, Buildtools, SmartContractor, or other mainstream software.
Proficient with standard office communication software.
