People Media, a subsidiary of Match.com, is seeking a Manager, Product with the strong analytical focus and relentless drive to fuel the growth of a leading online dating service. This individual will lead cross-functional teams through the product development lifecycle for new features and functionality on the People Media family of sites, including the ideation and justification of new products.

To transform business visions into reality, s/he must also coordinate with a variety of functional departments including design, development, quality assurance, marketing, customer care, public relations, and systems.

The position is very hands-on and requires the ability to juggle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. Must bring an aptitude for testing, in-depth analysis and continuous optimization. Also important is an understanding of how to tune a user experience for conversion and retention, and the creativity to break new ground in doing so.

We are seeking a candidate with a strong product management background. Specific technical expertise in online community development and/or subscription businesses is a plus, but not a requirement.

Responsibilities:

♥ Contribute to ideation activities, product feasibility assessments, business case preparation, and overall product definition
♥ Present and defend business cases with ROI and financial justification
♥ Work with cross-functional team to define and document the business case, requirements, flow, use case scenarios, messaging and measurement plan for new features and functionality
♥ Provide leadership and inspiration for cross-functional team members throughout a project, keeping them focused on the goal
♥ Closely monitor performance metrics and ROI for product initiatives; review these to identify opportunities or flaws and make recommendations for changes, new features or products
♥ Through a detailed analysis process, forecast the financial (ROI) and consumer impact of features; monitor and present key performance metrics related to new features
♥ Collaborate with Copy, Creative, Marketing, Engineering, QA and creative agencies to define, develop and launch new features
♥ Continuously identify new opportunities for optimization

Requirements:

♥ BS/BA degree or equivalent
♥ 5+ years of work experience in product management, preferably in an online business
♥ Stellar project management spec development skills
♥ Aptitude for design - especially in optimizing creative and copy for conversion
♥ Experience working with web technologies and tools (HTML, Flash, etc.) is a plus
♥ Very strong analytical and statistical skills (Pearson's chi-square, t-tests, etc.)
♥ Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
♥ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
♥ Precise attention to detail
♥ Proactive approach and ability to thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture
♥ Excellent organizational and time management skills
♥ Experience with subscription or community based product development is a plus
