West Coast Sales Manager



The West Coast Sales Manager (WCSM) is responsible for growing RFvenue's sales in accordance with company objectives, primarily through the multiplied efforts of Independent Manufacturer Rep Agencies and Channel Partners. The WCSM will forecast and track account/project wins and overall revenue generation in the territory. The WCSM will sell RFvenue's suite of wireless audio products, including antenna systems, RF and DC distribution products, associated accessories and emerging RF technologies. The WCSM must display a high level of knowledge and personal interest in wireless audio, audio-visual systems and RF technology in general. The WCSM must effectively engage in consultative sales, coaching the customers on strategic approaches to wireless audio systems and in-building RF management, while drawing on RFvenue's technical sales resources to support the technical aspects of successfully implementing distributed antenna systems and RF technology. The WCSM is also responsib le for farming existing accounts to identify incremental business opportunities by increasing the proliferation of RFvenue products at customer facilities. The WCSM reports to the CEO.


Key Responsibilities


Expand the sales of RFvenue products through 3rd parties:

Engaging Manufacturer Rep Agencies whenever possible

Ensuring that reps are trained and equipped to effectively promote and close sales of RFvenue's products

Supporting the reps in initial promotion of RFvenue to key channel partner prospects and significant end users

Ensuring that the successful Channel Partner candidates (dealers, consultants, system integrators) are trained and equipped to effectively promote and close sales of RFvenue's products to end users.

Pulling all end user selling opportunities through the appropriate Channel Partners (dealers, consultants, system integrators), and maintaining a high level of contact through project completion, but maintaining Channel Partner autonomy

In those locales where there is no suitable Manufacturers Rep Agency, enlisting and coordinating sales to Channel Partners, and promoting sales through specialty distributors and other wireless audio focused channels

Expand the sales of RFvenue systems through personal selling efforts:

Develop long term sales and market penetration plans and upon approval, expand opportunities over time

Strategically target and close high value, large accounts within geographic territory, including:

Professional, collegiate and high school athletic facilities
Theaters, schools, entertainment venues
Convention centers, hotels and business conference facilities
Government and military facilities

Become the owner of RFvenue's West Coast customer accounts

Independently generate new leads and successfully engage these companies at appropriate management levels (executive as well as operational)

Create multiple points of entry to an account: Engineering, Finance/Purchasing, Executive/Visionary

Capture the target account's organization chart and establish a network of champions, supporters, executive sponsors and more, to cover the decision makers and influencers

Report account and project status to internal management:

Weekly updates to RFvenue's CRM system (SalesForce.com)

Trip reports and single page executive summaries on major new business opportunities

Weekly sales call with CEO and/or conference with reps

Quarterly account planning and reporting

Drive the creation and presentation of proposals to the customer

Create or adapt existing sales tools as needed

Required experience, skills and knowledge
3-5 years of experience in sales of audio visual products, wireless audio systems, or telecommunications equipment. System integration experience and project management a plus
Excellent communication skills including phone, email, and group presentations
Experience in cooperating with and managing third parties, such as manufacturer sales representatives, A/V systems contractors, dealers and partners
Salesforce.com CRM experience or equivalent
Demonstrated ability to work manage multiple projects simultaneously
Prior experience in sales management, forecasting and territory management a big plus
Independence, creativity and ability to pivot to cultivate and close business
Ability to operate across boundaries, disciplines, cultures and organizational levels at the customer site
Ability to work from home and travel 50%+ of the time in the territory
