Workers Comp Scheduler and Collector (Santa Monica)

We are a group of psychiatrists performing worker's compensation evaluations throughout Southern California. We have 2 positions available for someone to join our team as a full time (40 hours/week) administrator. The job will be in an office building in Santa Monica.

Responsibilities of a scheduler include:

Scheduling Evaluations - This will involve heavy phone time with insurance companies, attorney's offices and faxing paperwork
Customer Service - Provide insurance companies and attorneys offices with copies of reports and other paperwork in a prompt manner
Filing

Responsibilities of a collector include:
Contacting insurance companies to pursue delinquent or near delinquent payments
Must have the ability to play good cop and bad cop
Must have thick skin and be able to deal with the runaround, passive aggression, and aggressive aggression without getting overwhelmed
Must be able to communicate clearly and authoritatively yet politely

Qualifications:
4 year college degree
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Proficiency with Internet including Efaxing Programs and Dropbox
40+ wpm typing speed
Ability to make deadlines
Ability to multitask
Effective and articulate communication skills
Proficiency in Spanish not required but a plus
Prior experience as an office manager not required but a plus
Prior experience in the worker's comp field in particular with doctors performing QME and AME evals not required but a plus
Prior experience in the legal field, such as a paralegal, not required but a plus
