Purpose
To provide building lighting maintenance and over see power distribution systems and assist the Engineers and Help Desk with tasks as assigned.

Job Functions

Essential Functions:

Maintains good tenant relations through prompt and courteous response to tenant requests within the guidelines set forth by JLL.
Tracks and trends electrical systems
Takes daily electrical readings
Provides weekly/monthly reports and trends
Change lights, bulbs and ballasts as required.
Respond to tenants' requests for lighting and various other mechanical services.
Monitors lighting systems for potential problems (or existing problems) and formulates solutions to be presented to the Chief Engineer or Assistant Chief Engineer for appropriate action.
Reviews on a regular basis and is prepared to follow all current emergency procedures set forth by JLL and the assigned property.
Performs all work in a safe manner.
Aids in the ordering, stocking and inventory of lighting supplies as directed by the Chief Engineer or Assistant Chief Engineer.
Performs general maintenance within the building as directed.

Other Functions:

Maintain ethical, professional and courteous relations with contractors.
Act as a team member with all employees of the management staff.
Complies with all written JLL and regional company policies.

Requirements

Essential Physical Abilities:
Visually inspect lighting conditions within the building.
Detect emergency alarms - auditory and/or visual.
Walking, lifting and climbing required.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:
Meet attendance and punctuality requirements.
Uses proper English when interacting with tenants.
Identifies and resolves lighting problems.
Interprets instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form.
Communicates essential information needed for decision making.
Detect emergency alarms - auditory and/or visual.

Experience:
Mechanical technical skill that enables the employee to function independently of an engineer more than fifty percent of the time.

Education:
High School Diploma and/or Vocational School Certificate
Journeyman electrical license preferred (where applicable)
