Job Announcement:
Lite Solar (www.litesolarcorp.com), the well-funded subsidiary of International Finance, a long time Los Angeles and Orange County, CA real estate/energy company is looking for an experienced Design Manager with solar or construction or electrical or engineering industry background to assist in providing design production support as Lite Solar expands its commercial solar system integration capabilities from California to: Connecticut, Hawaii, Louisiana, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Oregon, and soon Puerto Rico.
Responsibilities:
Direct a large solar design staff (15-20 designers) to produce complex commercial solar system designs reaching 1 megawatt or more that are fully compliant with code, incentive, and client requirements. Lead the effort that turns designs into Bill of Materials for procurement with least cost impact. Work with installation and sales departments to produce maximum capacity at lowest cost.
Qualifications:
Candidate must be expert in AutoCAD 2010, Bill of Materiel concepts and applications, and Microsoft office products including MS Project.
Candidate must have 5 years as a manager of a structural, construction or solar design group of at least 10 designer/drafters/engineers. One (1) year of solar design is required, 3 years of Solar design preferred.
Candidates must have education and practical foundation in structural or construction or mechanical or civil, and electrical or solar engineering and design. Three years or more of solar design preferred
Candidate needs advanced knowledge of system sizing, site analysis, hardware specification, building codes, and component selection of both off-grid and grid-tie systems.
