JOB TITLE: Vice President of Programs and Services

DEPARTMENT: Executive Management

REPORTS TO (POSITION): President/CEO

DATE: June 1, 2012

JOB SUMMARY: The Vice President of Programs and Services has overall strategic and operational responsibility for all program areas. The position will be a part of the senior management team that drives the overall strategy for SBSS and represents us on a local, regional, and national basis.

With a program budget of $3.2 million and a staff of 45, the Vice President of Programs and Services will initially develop knowledge of
each project,
program operations
business plans

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Program Leadership Management:

Develop and implement key strategic initiatives, working closely in support of and in partnership with the President/CEO to establish the strategic direction of the organization.
Enhance and implement organizational vision as established in the SBSS Strategic Plan.
Ensure ongoing programmatic excellence
Demonstrate consistent quality of finance and administration, fundraising, communications, and systems;
Recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve the program goals
Attract, develop, coach, and retain high-performance team members, empowering them to elevate their level of responsibility, span of control, and performance.
Work with staff to develop systems to ensure consistent, high-quality project management.
Provide leadership in development of inter-team communication and cohesiveness, and support staff during program expansion.

Work collaboratively with the VP of Development to assure that adequate funds are available to permit the organization to carry out its programmatic work.
