UltraGlas, Inc., a designed and specialty architectural glass creator located in Chatsworth, California, is seeking to fill the position of Graphic Artist/Art Manager with our progressive company. Responsibilities of the Graphic Artist/Art Manager Position:

Conceptualizing, designing, and coordinating artwork for custom glass projects and product development.
Creating original illustrations and artwork, and modifying existing artwork for production of molds and carving masks for glass.
Operate Mimaki printer/cutter for stencils to be used in sandblasting and mold creation.
Applying stencils, weeding, applying gold leaf or paint, and other hands-on production in the creation of products.
Providing designs and marketing materials for the branding of UltraGlas, including producing DVDs and labels, creating pdf. files, and producing tradeshow graphics and signs.
Updating social media, creating content, and monitoring Google alerts
Product photography, along with the filing and maintenance of the image library.
Establishing policies, implementing best practices, and enforcing standard operating procedures within the Art Department.
Set-up, maintenance, and troubleshooting iPad2
Ordering supplies as needed
Interface with sales staff and customers to achieve clients' design approval

Skills Required:

Adobe Illustrator CS4, Adobe Illustrator 10, Adobe Photoshop
Reading/creating architectural scale drawings
Generating/editing pdf files; working with and editing eps, ai, dxf, dwg files
Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint) and Mac
Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects in an fast paced, priority changing environment

Bonus skills:
Knowledge of Dropbox/ftp/yousendit
Operation and maintenance of large format Mimaki printer/cutter
Set up of vector files for printing/cutting
Prototyping, mold making
Knowledge of glass fabrication
Knowledge of architecture and/or interior design

Hours: 8-5. Preferably Monday --Thursday, 32 hours total, but negotiable on time
