SENIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER / ART DIRECTOR (SOUTH BAY)

The Monthly Mailer / South Bay Monthly is looking for an in house Graphic Ad Designer with a strong working knowledge in web design
that will be responsible for the translation of concepts and layouts to create comprehensive and final executions for a direct-mail advertising
magazine with 14 different magazines. This person must have excellent communication skills and be a team player with a competitive attitude.
This position requires you to have layout and production skills (in print) and be able to handle an intense deadline driven atmosphere.

exciting time for our company and we are in need of a team player that is really motivated. Our company started in the South Bay over seven
years ago and has quickly expanded to West Los Angeles, Orange County and Hawaii.

Qualifications:
Associates degree or equivalent, preferably in graphic design, graphic communications or other related discipline.
Must have experience in direct-mail advertising design at a level of creativity, design and technical proficiency.
Web Design and Social Media Experience is a plus.
Working knowledge and understanding of current trends, techniques and mechanics and be proficient in the required computer and software applications:

InDesign CS3
Illustrator CS3
Photoshop CS3
Filemaker

Duties:
Head of the Graphic Department - Art Director and/or Designer in creating advertising ideas for individual ads and campaigns after understanding the product or service.
Consults with account executives, the client and agencies to obtain necessary information about client information or services when designing ads.
Data Entry of Customer Coupons for Online Services.
Photo manipulation, photocomposition, color correction, simple illustration, type design.
Stock photo and image searches.
Self-proofing measures utilized to ensure complete accuracy.
